ah God, episode is so boring. And unfortunately not well acted.
Crap, more bad weather coming our way tonight.

I don't even have to ask what show. I agree. I watched it too. Too many characters introduced, too much blah, blah, blah, characters I don't care about, and all the female characters are cliches. Yeah.

EXACTLY. I watch every week. But. Painful to realize I'd rather watch the haunted truck episodes than this. Or, well, almost anything.
WHAT were they thinking? I can't see any charisma, I can't care about any of them, and the female, god I don't know her name, the blonde, all snarly over-the-top. The hero is predictably pretty but not magnetic in any way I can fathom or the least bit interesting. Add on monster families controlling cities in this SPN world? It totally doesn't feel like an extension of the world they've built.

It didn't help that the main character, Ennis, looks like he's 17 at best. I thought he was on a date with his high school sweetheart, not proposing marriage when it opened. Also, it didn't help the shows' cred with me that the only female character we've seen at that point gets killed in the first ten minutes. So, of the three main female characters we got ... one was killed, one's a power-mad bitch, and the other calls herself a bitch (literally, as a werewolf female) and can only summon the strength to fight back when a guy she cares about is in danger. Why can women write awesome male characters, and men SUCK at writing strong women that aren't cliches? Also, why do all the actors look so similar now? I get that Dean and Sam are both considered attractive, esp. Jensen A., but they at least seem distinctive from each other and other characters. Maybe because they're not in a pretty environment? I don't know. I'm tired of shows aimed at 16 years olds where it's going to be basically a soap about rich people. (I'm feeling ranty.)

SPN's had their ups and downs, but I really hope they don't pursue the spin-off. The reason they do a backdoor pilot is to register interest, and sometimes it's a good time to tank a project. NCIS: Red never got off the ground (thank God) because of that. "Huggy Bear and Turkey" didn't either - also, THANK GOD! *g*

HUGGY BEAR AND THE TURKEY, haha. It was BETTER than this episode last night. I'm pretty sure :))

About Jared and Jensen - they are pretty, but there's more to them. They looped me in and made me care. Call it force of personality, charisma, whatever, but I watched them and began to care deeply about their onscreen family and characters. I bought into what they gave us. Though I do remember saying (about the early seasons) - but they're so young, as if it were a bad thing:)

I completely agree with you on Ennis. He was so young and I was supposed to believe he was an adult character? Um, no.
