vid by PR Zed. I don't follow vids much, odd considering I try to do them, but. This person, PR Zed, is about to single-handedly convert me to multi-fandoms with this vid. Love this song, love this vid, choice of clips, editing, you name it. What the heck are all these fandoms, they look great. Most are older, seems like. Okay, I know some of their names, but where do you find these series to watch? Where to find info on them in general?

Someday when I get the time, I.. oh shit, I'm going to do so many things. Sigh. In the meantime, I recommend this vid.

I always adored this vid. I told PR Zed as soon as I saw it at con and then when it came online that I adored it. As for the fandoms:

MUNCLE (Man From Uncle)
SH (Starsky/Hutch)
PROS (Professionals)
DS (Due South)

I adore that she used these four as cornerpoints of the vid. And she used both Rays from DS (along with Mrs. Fraser) and she's timed it very well for the fandoms. A wonderful vid, truely.

oh, I've never seen Due South either. The lead looks so damned ... clean-cut. But see, there's that cute little red-headed man in there, not exactly your LEADING MAN, but I think he looks real.. pert. You know, the one who pulls his shirt up after he acts dead in the vid?

That would be Callum Keith Rennie (more blondish) He is Ray K, the slasher's dream (as Paul Gross--the Mountie--actually mentioned in an interview) He came after Ray V. I adore Due South because

a) there's a gen season and a slash season and you can swing both Rays (as I do)

b) Fraser (the Mountie) changes as you watch him with each Ray, the partnerships of both being slightly different because Fraser was different

c) it has one of the best finales in television history--the partners rode off into the sunset together to have a Candian adventure, just the two of them

It's definitely a show you should try, definitely. SO much love.

Guess what, Kim, my pal that I met from Me and Thee who actually happens to live in the same TOWN as me has all three seasons Due South. Guess who she loaned them to last night? Along with some crazy movie what's his face Rennie is in. I believe she thinks he's as hot as I do, and I mean seriously, would you call him a typical example of "hot"? I wouldn't, but Lord, there's something about the boy's mouth! And magnetism. If he and Fraser have a good chemistry, I'm going to like the 3rd season PLENTY. I just know it.

There's four seasons, but sometimes three and four are combined in DVD sets so as long as you got all the eps through Call of the Wild, you've got them all. Which CKR movie does she have (if it's Hard Core Logo, that's a WHOLE other ballgame) Due South is a very nice show, very complex and it builds on relationships (partnerships, friendships, father/son relationships, etc) I hope you enjoy the show!

Curious: why would Paul Gross call Rennie a slasher's dream? I'd like to read that interview, sounds interesting.

Because, as much as I love Ray V, he's not what I would call a classically handsome man. Ray K, however, IS. And Callum plays differently than David M. DM is more straight-forward, playing Ray V as almost emotionally closed off (in my opinion) while CKR plays more openly, Ray K is almost emotioanlly vulnerable to a point. I love them both, but in different ways.

I've never seen any of them, besides my beloved S&H. I am deprived, I think. The PROS look awfully cuddley together. I like it.

I have yet to get into Pros. I've tried and I have pretty much half the fandom trying to pimp me in, but for me there's too much seperation in the episodes I've seen. I love their vids, though (and I watch Barb Phillips' Pros vids all the time), but when I have SH, it's hard to compare:)

I agree, sorry Kassidy, but the Pros really isnt slashy at all if you ask me. People say it is, but i don't see where they're getting it from. I watch cos i love Doyle, and i'd be able to pick a few episodes for you where their friendship is obvious, but it really isn't a slashy show if you ask me. Very slashy fandom though!

That's exactly it! I watch the vids and I go "these two, yeah, do doing it." I watch the show and it's like sometimes I don't even know if they like each other. But older Martin Shaw? SO love him. That's one way to get me into a fandom, show me the older boys:)

mmm judge deed. and i am SO glad he went all naughty and permed his hair for Pros when they said he couldn't, his hair drives me wild. Yummmmm.

Totally know what you mean, it's not even like they have a subtle relationship. I've read some fantastic slash fics with them and it's so gorgeous, and then you watch an ep and you're like "Uh, where's the touchy feely please?"

I am so confused. I saw smiles and touches and togetherness in the video... didn't I?

oh sod it's a realplayer file, and i refuse to have sodding realplayer on my laptop, so i can't watch it now. chances are the scenes she chose were very skillfully picked, but i don't doubt there are some scenes that could be used in a vid to look slashy. it's just that they're hard men, not at all like Starsky and Hutch, they wouldn't for a second dream of even hinting that they loved each other because they're blokes, if you know what i mean.
will watch it later tonight on my corrupted PC :P and tell you what i think. i see she's got some others, so i wanna watch those too. whee!

okay! i've watched it, god it really was a fantastic video, i'm downloading the others now. I'm suddenly intrigued to see some Muncle! As for the touchy feely, there were two. One where he might have pinched his butt (a complete one off) and where he holds his head in the car and makes a stupid noise. Within the series... that's pretty much it. You get no more than that. There's banter between them sure, and some concern, and laughs, but really it's got absolutely nothing on S&H, and indeed most other partner cop shows.
thanks for pointing me to these though, they're great!

The slashiest ep, according to the Outback Assault Team, is 'The Ojuka Situation'. They're more snarky than S&H who have that touchy feely thing that is so special. With DS, it's the looks.
