So, Cass and Cheryl and I played a drinking game last night. We picked Supernatural's "Mystery Spot" and chose 4 different drinking prompts: Dean dies, somebody says "pig in a poke," Asia, and Sam's forehead speaks Arabic (meaning when he wrinkles his forehead just so, it has some curves and shapes that remind us of written Arabic). Whoever spots the prompt calls it out and we suck it down.
There is a section of this episode where you cannot take the bottle from your lips between drinks. I actually fell behind. Whew.

On a related note, I should honestly stop reading SPN interviews. Feels like more of the same and quite honestly puts me off. That's probably more than enough said - I don't really engage anymore in online fandom debate (exhausting and mostly like talking religion - I'd rather write or maybe stick chewed gum in my hair or drown in toilet water). But still, frustrating enough to me with my leanings and personal viewpoint of the characters that I sort of wish I didn't like the show anymore.

Also, zombie info most wonderful, referred to me by Cass:  Five Scientific Reasons a Zombie Apocalypse Could Actually Happen

Also, went to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine today. In typical fashion for me, I now want to read some hopefully good Wolverine/Gambit fiction. I know NOTHING about the X-Men, comics or movies. Just this one movie.

Annnd have a picture from the lake where I picked my 8 year old up from this morning (she went camping with the Brownies):

Okay, now you've got me curious ;) Further explanation please?

ah, it just feels like the beginning of the season last year. Lots of talk about hell and Dean getting out, and whatever happened to Sam was under wraps. I mean, I've heard the explanations why, but whatever - doesn't mean I liked it:). This year we get a little bit of the same this year, only worse - they talk about Sam being prideful and selfish, which is an extremely simplistic and disappointing interpretation of what happened to him and why he did what he did over the season, and now how he has to redeem himself and how Dean can't much stand to look at him, when me, I think they both have very real issues with each others behavior. Who knows, maybe they have another reason to keep what he's doing mostly under wraps again, or maybe the writers think all he needs to do this year is to make reparations for his selfish, prideful actions. (though I do have suspicions about certain developments, which could prove interesting - or I could be way off).

I just need to go back to another 30 year old show where all that's happened (within the show itself I mean) has happened already:) That I can handle!

I understand. I've actually not run across much of the negative articles like you have. Most of the publicity I've read has focused on the boys joining together again and helping Cas fit into his new place in the whole world dynamic. Just watched the ComicCon panel and Kripke's all funny and optimistic, so I'm happy for the new season. An optimistic apocalypse, who knew? :D

It'll probably be fine despite the comments I'm less than happy with, and also, I'm not a big Cas fan (though I don't dislike him - I thought he was cool when he first appeared, so we'll see where they take him). I have knee-jerk reactions to some of the things in this fandom now and I hate that. However, in the main I loved last year's arc. I love gallows humor, and the show is more than capable of delivering. Plus I'd LOVE love love to see the boys together again. Kripke talks about that, and then Sera talks about Dean having to chose and do the responsible thing - save this group, this town, or go after Sam? Hell, I don't want responsible reality here - I want either of them to always go after the other, like the crazy obsessed family-oriented hunters they are. Who needs mental maturity and health and all that;)

Finally! Another person that isn't a big Cas fan! I thought I was the only one. I much prefer Jimmy. I mean, I want to like Cas and I'm hoping that once he's out from under the thumb of heaven and following order that he'll become more likable to me, but when he was just a soldier doing what he was ordered to do...he didn't do it for me.

I just got a sneak preview at 5 mins of the first Season 5 ep (showed at ComicCon, on YouTube) and...it's gonna be good. Also, how can you not love a writer who comments about the humor in the middle of the apocalypse? You know, gotta find the bright side along with "oh, we lost pandas today" (one of Kripke one-off comments;)
