I have sinned and sinned hard. I put a link and a quote from an interview at the DC LJ about some supposition (to be fair to myself, it's pretty speculative and extremely vague) for Dante's Cove season 4 and got someone snippy to let me know just how incredibly thoughtless I am for not arming them with an lj cut. I know, I know! I am deshpicable. 

But for curiosity's sake, do you maybe get a hint when you're reading a question from an interviewer who asks someone about what might be coming up for their character? And the actor says, well, they're writing 4th season now, so without saying too much... and then gives some vague comment. At what point would you stop reading if you hadn't even seen the 3rd season yet and didn't want to know anything? Because I need to let the guy know if he can simply shoot me in the head or if I need to be drawn and quartered. I need to be fair about this.

They always think that being vague somehow endears them to the fans. ICK. Makes me want to hit them in the back of the head really hard.

Life is all right. Writing original fiction can be lonesome and I find it all too easy to get discouraged. Me sucketh. At least I am making steady progress on the vampire novel from hell. *(@*(*#&)#$&

You know what, Kass? The power of the LJ cut to intimidate is what is deshpicable (gonna steal this spelling from you more in future) in my opinion. So, if someone wants you shot, I'll be standing in front of you to take the first bullet. I think the LJ cut is hard to use, and it's hard to know (other than a story or whatever) when to use it, and that way the hell too much emphasis is placed on its importance. It's one reason why I don't play in the LJ world very much. I don't enjoy feeling like a slow learner.

Now, to more directly answer your question, yes, I think your reader with the highly evolved sense of entitlement, could have picked up an easy hint in the first sentence. Perhaps they could have even exercised some personal judgment and responsibility at that point. But, obviously, your reader needs to be spoon-fed and hand-held through life, and he feels entitled to no less--so, he had himself a little old tantrum.

You rock. He sucks.

Man, that's some true blue support. But no bullets! I seriously can't thank you enough for your post, Keri:)

I'll keep a spot in my organization open for you (what organization, you ask? yeah, me too;) Needless to say, I agree one hunnered purcent on everything you said. Yeah, it's entitlement all right, as in: I read your post all the way through and I'm mad about it. I didn't stop and it's your fault! Which is silly.

Another thing that I find, er, interesting, is when posters only post when they have something negative to say. Where is the happy in that for them? I don't get it. It's that sort of thing where you can only tear down and not build up. It's nothing new but the hatefulness of the post seemed so unnecessary.

Hatefullness always is. I really do feel sorry for people who have so much bitterness and anger inside them--they must live really miserable lives.
