Participating in strangefandom

strangefandom - you watch 1-3 vids in a fandom you don't know (and they give you guidelines for you to go by as to how much you actually do/don't know) and then tell 'em what you think the fandom is about. They post your synopsis anonymously, but I'm allowed to tell you I am a Stranger for Stargate-SG1, about which I know absolutely nothing. I was really surprised to find how much fun it is, trying to figure out what the hell is going on in a strange fandom via vids only, and it's so much fun to speculate and make shit up. Can't wait to see how eerily on target (yah right) my synopsis is!

Also I'm a grokker for another fandom - I'm the info guy who knows the fandom. They're not sure yet whether they want the grokkers revealed, so I'll keep quiet. I think grokker comes from Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land" - the grok noes all (in case you're curious).

Off to the beach tomorrow.
