2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.
these are the icons
tebtosca picked for me to talk about:
1.

This is Sam Winchester, of course, and the icon is by
spiffydaze. Anybody who knows me at all knows that I adore the character of Sam Winchester and admire the actor who plays him. This icon in particular is a favorite of mine because of the sculpted look of it, which highlights Jared's very lovely cheekbones and jaw, his chin, brow - hell, everything. I do think the man looks as beautiful as a piece of art, and interestingly, that he seems to respond to that himself by projecting the very opposite of that, with his frequent beard growth, messy, pretty hair and casual dress. Home boy, y'all - or so he projects.
2.

This is Tate Langdon from American Horror Story, season 1 (though I don't remember this particular moment AT ALL, I confess). If you don't watch American Horror Story, it changes story lines every year but brings back many of the actors. It also pushes boundaries.
Evan Peters, the actor who plays Tate, has been in the show for all seasons so far - he's a lovely fellow who really throws himself into the roles he takes. I was fascinated by Tate. He set his mother's boyfriend on fire and then killed fifteen kids at his high school in a mass shooting. The high school shooting was horrific for me in no small part because I have kids and that's one of my fears. But I'm always fascinated by an actor who can take such a character and imbue him with levels and nuance and in this case, a childlike intensity and fearfulness that really touched me. Even his rage made sense to me. He was a monster, yes, but damaged, and the actor brought it fearlessly.
3.

Gillian Anderson, icon made by
nadine23. I've adored her since X-Files, and was always fascinated by the juxtaposition of buttoned-up Scully vs. some of the articles and PHOTOS this woman was willing to pose for. She's still that way, apparently - at least if the cause fits (in this case she poses with an eel for the purpose of stopping destruction of the ocean):

Gillian seems to be intelligent, thoughtful, and a wonderful actor who knows what she wants and likes and goes for it. In other words, fearless (there's that word again).
4.

Shark!! Sharks, yeah, I'm fascinated. Generally I'm fascinated by predators, which may be weird because I avoid videos that actually show them doing what they do best. Can't stand to watch. But photos of them, that's something I can handle. Sharks: they're scary, they're sleek - and in this photo, the shark looks almost metallic.
5.

Last, not least - I made this a few years ago ... but isn't that Jared's hands during that photoshoot when he was grease-smeared and wearing a muscle shirt? I love his hands, by the way (bet you couldn't have guessed). I use this icon when I'm trying to appear thoughtful or at least inoffensive *smirk*
