kassidy62It's finally starting to shape up. We have some stories edited and finished, and with initial lay-out begun, if only in my head. A very nice mix of gen and slash. Whew. Mucho hard work, and more to come.
In other news, I took my kids to the pool with my hubby and a grown-up at the wading pool had a fit. What a beeaaatch. Jesus, had to apologize just to shut her up before she did permanent psychological damage to the children at the wading pool. Okay maybe I exaggerate, but what about modeling behavior for your children?
Her little boy picked up my girls' toy boats and pronounced he was going to take them over to his pal to play with them. "Okay, but ask nicely first," I say. The boy says "I'm going to take this boat over to my friend--please." Okay, good enough. But then mamma stomps over, takes the boats, THROWS them down next to me, and pronounces "We'll get our own toys and show you know how to share,". Hello?
I say, "He's welcome to play with the toys. I simply asked him to ask nicely."
"At this pool, we SHARE toys. That's the way it's done."
I say, "What is with your attitude?" She's like some bulldog, reminds me of the sports moms and dads who show their asses routinely. Macho macho gal, ain't you tough?
She stomps off. I consider things. This is silly. She comes back. I say, "Look, I apologize."
She doesn't look my way; she does, however, sit her boy down and say "All you had to do was ask nicely."
I may have apologized, but I'm still fuming, ain't I? What a stupid bitch. I bet she's big into road rage. Just.. why? Is Judge Judy somewhere in the building?
Besides, she threw my fucking toys.
