My wing!fic virginity has been SHAFTED, my world view altered - how could it not be? I read fucking wing!fic and it was strange and short with loving wing description and many orgasms and it was good. I'll be stalking pigeons next. 

Here's why I'm enthralled. A person takes care of kids and family and work and doing the real life thing and it's wonderful and meaningful but sometimes you can't keep up and you can't find the time to be you. Unless you've started out the day with something you'd never read or wanted to read or didn't think would appeal, and whaddoyouknow it's quirky, hot and just FUN.

I remember looking at bathroom sinks with sensors (or automated sinks, whatever you call them, the ones that turn on when you lean into them, very common) the same way - they were new and I was at the museum and I leaned over the sink and it started right up and it made me happy. But they weren't hawt. Never mind. 

The point is, I can still find something new that delights me when I didn't expect it before I even start the day and that's the glory of fan fiction. No boundaries, sky's the limit (but with wings, even the sky doesn't hold you back). NO LIMITS.

Wingfic in SGA is mammoth...and totally makes sense in canon (which is both entertaining and scary) Oh, the lines we cross when fandom comes into play ;)

OMG. You see what a virgin I am (was)? Thanks for the recs. I was just saying I understand now why it makes it so freaking happy - there are no limits. A good writer can write almost anything and I'm in awe. And they're right here! I know where to find them. So so happy.

honestly, I had no idea what the heck was wing!fic, so I checked some of the links in the other posts out. Since I'm such an AU junkie, I found that I love fics like that. I think I've got my wing!fic cherry taken earlier today ;)
