updating

Here's a Me update, just because. Cass and I continue to work on an eye candy vid. I've never worked with so many clips from different sources - it's boggling. 16:9, 4:3, 4:3 with black bars, PAL, avi, blah, blah. I've never had a video take so long to get anything done with, because of same reason - so many different sources - and that includes the fact that with so many sources, the direction of the vid can become muddled, though I think our direction is finally set.

Other Me updates: I'm walking an hour a day and doing some exercise. It's desperation - anything to feel something other than tired. And it's working, some of the time. Yay!

My girls and I are feeding a huge pack of birds now. The feeder has to be filled once a day. We have tons of sparrows, blue jays, cardinals, some little thing unidentified (something finchlike, maybe?), something my pal Cheryl says is a cowbird, doves, pigeons, and a red-headed black bird which I figure must have been a woodpecker of some sort? At any rate, I'm going to let the girls take photos and post them up on a webpage soon. Also, the squirrels are committing some interesting acrobatics in the name of bird food stealage. What is it with me and squirrels? Squirrels fighting, fussing at me, and now the sassy little bastards are trying to take over my yard by force.

More update: there's a group on LJ for Alias Smith and Jones which I almost inadvertently inherited. We're doing some challenges which are fun - I wrote my first ever ASJ short short as I'd posted earlier on LJ. I love that little ASJ group, though. I have at least one vid in mind for ASJ that I've never forgotten wanting to do, and another bunny bit me in the ass for the fandom just yesterday, to the song by Nickleback - I Wanna Be a Rockstar or something like that. I'd be fun to correlate all the modern excesses with things going on in an old western, I think. But first I'd wanted to do "Blue on Black." I also am pretty sure I committed myself to doing a new S&H video for the gen con in August. I'm thinking that will be done to the tune of "Let It Ride" by BTO. 

Oh, and the novel. Not nearly as much done on it as should be. I keep rewriting and it's weary business, which is too bad because I love the story, just my own inexpertise at words at the time I wrote it is more difficult to correct than to just totally rewrite, frankly. But I can't let it go, so rewrite I do. It's kind of driving me crazy.

Oh, and I wrote an S&H story that I'll probably sub to a zine sometime. It's written around the episode Moonshine, slash.

All of this stuff will be done unless I find a cabana boy to run off with, or I'm admitted for observation at one of the various local institutions.
