After I finished the zine, I said to myself, I'll go back and finish my novel, right? Then I hear someone mention that old time classic scenario called "Starsky having to watch while Hutch gets tortured". This brings out all my perverse tendencies, see.
I already mangled Hutch in the zine in one of my stories. One would think that would be enough.
So I did a few pages. Now I'm wondering if I'll make it a short short or a real whole story.
Gotta get over this. How many times can you maul a Hutchinson? I hear my novel screaming in the background. Calling for me.
But on the other hand, I've only done it twice. Mauled him I mean. Twice is nothin'. Right? RIGHT????

(no subject)

Well I had to take some of the zines back to the printer because there were problems with some of them. So I'm calling them to make sure there's no problem AGAIN as they were to have them printed up yesterday. They're still having problems only it was on both of their machines now, so the printer guys went through every single page of 14 BOOKS so they could ship them off to the hotel and to Flamingo for the Con (because they were replacing the 14 crappy ones I'd mailed to Flamingo to sell for me, bless her). Then they had to replace the bad pages they found within the 14 and then ship them off UPS. They still owe me 28 books, but they're working on their machines. I KNOW they hate me. Ha.

There are no women working there. Wonder how many of the boys enjoyed the story with the big black headline containing the words: INCREDIBLE FUCK (author, you know who you are:)

I'm still having a lot of trouble not squirming when they ask me questions about the zine. "Starsky & Hutch, huh?" Me: looks up in the air and pretends to disappear. "Convention just for them?" Me: spreads hands - ME NO SPEAKEE ENGLISH.

I will never get used to it. And where are the women in this joint? Wonder if some of the guys would volunteer to act out the stories? Just wondering. They couldn't come close to the boys. But what the hell.

And I've been known to go from completely off the boards shy to totally brazen in seconds. I think it's a reaction when I get disgusted at myself.

Though I could have sworn the guy I talked to on the phone today LIKED going through those books page by page.
