Deep Space 9 is on, there's an aphasia virus and I AM VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. It's a nightmare of mine, to try as hard as possible and still not have any control or make sense.

You know you needed to know this about me;)

Yeah, I'm the same way about fire and burns (chemical as well as thermal). I can't watch medical shows when they show someone seriously burned. Used to have recurring nightmares as a child about being caught in a fire.

Weird the things that get squick us each out.

my husband's on a mission - Amazon Prime offers up most of the Trek shows for free, so he's been through Voyager and just started in on Deep Space Nine:)

DS9 is the best Trek. Hope he enjoys it!

kind of wonder where some of this stuff comes from, you know? My worst squick is more of a phobia and I have no idea what triggered it initially - any damage to the eyes and I freak out, to the point of obsessively playing it over and over again in my head, and seemingly helpless to stop it. Like, I was watching Falling Skies and they had an eye thing, a worm-creature in Noah Wiley's eye, and OH MY GOD. I'm still shrinking from it (and obviously, so far unable to dismiss it from my head).
