GNO

Girls Night Out - We continue to keep our tradition of REALLY SMALL fannish interests/ships. We even made prompts:)
Frankenstein: The True Story (1973 TV miniseries) - Frankenstein/monster - "beautiful"; Henry Clerval/Frankenstein - "I need your strength"; Prima (the best role evar for Jane Seymour) with anybody
Planet of the Apes (TV Series) - Alan/Pete/Galen - spit roast (is that right, C?) Set after Pete is rescued from the gorillas and a probable lobotomy. Pete's grateful. Really, really grateful.
The Dark Secret of Harvest Home (TV movie)- any! (some Justin would be nice)
Bewitched - anything with Agnes Moorehead casting a spell on Derwood and being her usual bitchin self
The Legend of Lizzie Borden (TV movie) - any with Lizzie, because Elizabeth Montgomery is da bomb

ah, GNO, I love it. I reek of perfume and bad TV.

Victor Frankenstein (Leonard Whiting of Romeo and Juliet)

Michael Sarrazin as the monster

Jane Seymour as Agatha/Prima

Elizabeth Montgomery as Lizzie B

Peter Burke on Planet of the Apes

Mark Leonard as Urko (bad gorilla!!! I love him)

The Dark Secret of Harvest Home (Bette Davis, David Ackroyd, Rosanna Arquette)

Oh Frankenstein! I remember that mnini series, I stumbled across it in the 90s when I was at uni in the early hours, stayed up late to watch the next part the following night, at an equally ridiculous time! Oh it was rather marvellous!

you know, it's still marvelous. It starts off with a real dated feel, but the story is in the dialogue and interaction of the characters. I didn't even mention Clerval, who is played by David McCallum, and he's wonderful in it, maniacal (pulling the live arm out of the solution-filled tank and saying "It KNOWS you!" to Frankenstein, ha) and hubristic.
You can get it at Amazon, I bet:)

Oh I bought it last year off eBay - I just haven't gotten around to rewatching it yet!

Ya know, I wanna say spitroast is supposed to be a single word, but I'm not sure.

I love our little fandoms<3 We are the 1970s Miniseries Appreciation Society:)

yes, I (we) are apparently stuck in the 70s and Dave is stuck in the 80s. But the 70s are much more cool, I can't even say.

We love what we love. And why the hell shouldn't we? Our loves are awesome. The 70s are awesome.

You found some truly lovely pics, by the way. Verrah nice!

hehe, sounds like you've again had a fun time. Ah, Mark Lenard, while I enjoyed him as Urko he'll always be Ambassador Sarek to me though :D

I had a lovely time. Just me and C, but we had what we wanted and we laughed a lot.
And it's funny, but I kept looking at Urko last night and thinking "Spock's daddy" *nods*

sometimes I think we do share the same brain ;)

Bwahahahahahaha.... be careful what you ask for.

I HAVE NO FEAR. I think.

Ok, this is definitely all your fault... Because monkey on monkey sex wasn't enough for you? Now you have to have monkey/astronaut sex? Omg, I can't believe I'm going there.

Elizabeth Montgomery was so fantastic. A beautiful woman -- truly gorgeous -- who didn't act like she was God's Gift. She was good and kind, from all reports, and was good friends with both Darens.

Agnes Moorehead was such a fantastic co-star, too. Not long ago, I borrowed the CDs for the first season of Bewitched, and was rather surprised to notice how so very often Endora was quite justified in tormenting Derwood. :-)))

Endora had such style, and she didn't take any crap. I loved her, and Elizabeth, too. That very first episode of Bewitched is one of my favorites:)
