For real, I don' think I even have a copy of my first ever fan fic. It was Witchblade fandom, though, and I was like 15. I think it was probably really bad, but I didn't write anything else for 4 or 5 years, and that probably wasn't much better. You really do get better with practise and heh, yeah, that stuff can be a little embarrassing when you look back at it. If it still exists anywhere, it's probably lurking in the sludge of the pit of voles somewhere.
I liked the fantasy aspect of it. I think also I related to the bratty girl main character. Of course I didn't see her as a brat when I was a kid myself, but later on, wow, annoying. I've never seen The Man Who Fell to Earth.
If I could remember my username we'd be in business!
Somewhere buried in the Gundam Wing section is a story about Heero Yuy's gundam dancing to "I Will Survive" and another stoy about Majora's Mask release. That is me.
Ha, since your posting really made me feel the nostalgia of the good old times when my fanfics had more than 100 words ;). Dusted off my first one and posted it to my journal.

Oh, the first fanfic I ever wrote is long gone. Written long before the internet age. This is true of the first several fanfics I ever wrote, which were probably Star Trek or AS&J. :-)
