Sweet zombie jeebus, was that what that was? I thought something was on the roof.

Ah, so those five minutes spent staring wide-eyed at my ceiling as though something might fall through it were indeed wasted time : )

Whoa. If the house is a-rockin', don't come a-knockin'? O_o Glad to hear no damage, though.

Hope you're okay. We have little earthquakes like that here all the time. Someday it's going to be The Big One, and I may wake up buried under a ton of rubble. I didn't know you got them in Kentucky, though. :-)

[identity profile] kassidy62.livejournal.com 2012-11-13 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes - the quake started in KY up north of us, and I felt it here in Tennessee, but it was just startling more than anything. Furniture and floor shook quite a bit. We used to get them, seemed like every few years, but never bad ones, and then we hadn't had one in such a long time.

No, no Big One for you! You stay nice and safe in your home:) I had no idea you had many quakes, either.

Oh, I actually live in a very dangerous zone. A zone where five -- count 'em, five -- tectonic plates meet and try to be on top. If all of them start to squabble at once, we're toast. I'm betting on the Pacific Plate winning, but I might not be around to collect.

Yeah, I know about the 'startling' aspect. I tend to freeze and stare at the wall as it vibrates. Once the quake sounded like a freight train heading toward me. That was interesting. :-)

Take care.
