I hear Jared's dog lost his battle with cancer. Here's my baby. 15 yo and lost her last month. Hard to face, still, but this is in honor of her and how extraordinary she was.
Thumpy was a princess, a fuss budget, strong-willed, smart, with an incredibly stubborn will to live. Loved her very much, and yes, it was so heartbreaking. But a vet told me it's a privilege having our pets and being able to give them a good life, so that's what I always try to think about. Still very hard, as you know.
So true about the fact there's satisfaction in knowing we gave them a good life. But it's so sad. I have my little cockapoo Sadie, who is only 1, curled up next to me and love her so much, it's kind of scary. It's the worst part of pets that they don't live nearly long enough.
I'm feeling better. The not-eating thing is getting old, and I'm hoping to be clear-headed enough to do some writing with my unexpected time. But I am very grateful to be living in an age of anti-biotics, let me tell you. :)
