Something new -
A story based on From Dusk Till Dawn: the TV Series. It's got that brotherly vibe going on, plus one of them is apparently insane, and both of them criminals. They snark and snap at each other, and they hug. Richie is scared, Seth is scared for him. Seth lies to him, tells him they'll be okay.

Richie's the ominous one, crazy genius, and Seth is the talkative, bossy one. Always a sucker for mental health issues and unhealthy relationships that ring genuine, that's me.

I literally opened up a post on A03 and wrote the story right there on the page, which was amazing for me, to be able to just get it down and post so easily.

Have some words from it, called Breathe or Die:

Santanico had been right. One of them had known. Little Gordita, she'd known.

Richie thought she'd known more. She'd seen his drawings. They lay together in the motel bed, his head on her stomach. He thought she'd known him. Understood, finally.

But here's the thing. She did know, too much, and when they know too much they use him hate him, see her in him and oh, then he sees their blood, beating under their skin, rolling through veins and pumping through their rich red hearts, their poison fruit hearts. Until he bursts them. Takes away their sight.

Or she bursts them. He doesn't know anymore. She's always so hungry.

He doesn't think he used to be this way, before.

He remembers when Seth and he were young and living at home, remembers their dad's glittering angry eyes, face infused with blood as he shouted. The veins in his dad's neck bulged, spittle spraying the air. He remembers feeling one heartbeat away from dying. And after a while it became meaningless.

I love From Dusk Till Dawn! The brothers are very different from Sam and Dean but I can't help seeing echoes! The end of S1 is like the boyking au of SPN. But I love the show for itself. I love the lighting, the action and beautiful actresses... and Seth and Richie :) I'll remember to read your fic!

I also love the lighting, the bold coloring, tons of yellow and orange and heat contrasted with the shadows - perfectly fitting for the mythos! And I couldn't help but note how the guys are from Kansas, and one saved the other from a fire:)
Next year we're going to get a few more episodes, I'm hearing - 13 this time.
