A couple of years ago I started writing episode related shorts for the episodes (yeah, that 14 episode 70s show no one much remembers, but that I love - and what else is new;). I stopped writing them, but I guess all the talk about the new Planet of the Apes movie (which I haven't yet seen, so please don't spoil me?), I became interested again. Plus my old POTA site is really showing its age and I started working on updating it just a little. Anyway I wrote a new ep related story and posted it at a03, but its short enough to cut and paste it here.
Here's the first two:
Galen's Truth
Alan's Hope
and here's the third -

Burke's Plan

My old vids are up at a03 (via embeds from youtube and one from vimeo). Many of them aren't very good, but they all have heart - and some are still fun. You can find them here at a03 (10 Starsky & Hutch, 1 Dante's Cove, 1 Planet of the Apes TV series, 1 Alias Smith and Jones)

I didn't sign up for Yuletide, but I decided very late in the game to write a treat for my pal, [livejournal.com profile] gryphon2k. I wasn't sure I could do treats without being signed up, so I checked, and yes. It was a fast whirlwind of work and fun for me. I had a story in mind a long time ago to write about the fugitives coming upon a disgraced Wanda, exiled from Central City, so I went with that.

It's a little over a year since Alan and Pete's spaceship crashed. Galen's still with them. They're still running, still fugitives, and Urko's pursuit of them still tireless. When they find a tiny village on the outskirts of ape civilization and Urko passes it by while searching for them, the fugitives begin to hope they've escaped.

But there are others besides Urko who'd like to see them dead.

He really should have been #1, as the first television character I was truly caught up in.  There was an episode called "The Interrogation" that inspired me to write horror and a little porn, years later, but regardless, the episode was my first taste of what a sweaty, helpless, bound man can do to hormones. The show's got some bad and awesome 70s plot, shirtless men, and some really nice rapport between the three actors that still works to this day.
